History. 1889 — André and Édouard Michelin founded the tyre company
Warranty. In the United States, eligible Michelin passenger and light-truck replacement tyres (excluding stated categories such as Classic and certain OE or competition tyres) carry a workmanship-and-materials warranty for the life of the original usable tread or six years from purchase, whichever comes first; mileage coverage varies by tyre line. Other vehicles and markets use different terms.
