The four Kashio brothers built their company around compact calculation. Casio later applied the same practical electronics mindset to digital watches, keyboards and rugged G-SHOCK products.

    Kashio Seisakujo begins

    Tadao Kashio starts the business that becomes Casio.

    A compact electric calculator

    The 14-A brings relay calculation into a desk-sized form.

    G-SHOCK launches

    A shock-resistant watch creates Casio’s most durable icon.
